A bunch of sunflowers on the coffee table and I am endlessly grateful for these indulgent summer smiles. I was particularly taken with the light coming in behind and shining through the leaves from behind hence this painting.I chose oil because I wanted to have vibrant colour and palette knife to show the looseness of form I saw.
